THE LIONESS PROJECT

You may or may not have heard that Iran has been facing a revolution which sparked from the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in September of 2022. On a daily basis, women and children are constantly being killed or imprisoned for protesting for their basic human rights. At one point, young children were being slaughtered daily. There are currently over 15,000+ innocent people who have been imprisoned and recommended the death penalty by Iranian parliament.

Most media outlets are either completely silent or inaccurately reporting the true circumstances of the current condition of Iran. Recognizing that most of the news about Iran have been thrown into the back burner, we created “Lioness.”

“Lioness” is a powerful 5-minute short film created by renowned writer & director Arrad. The mission of this project is to create global awareness of the Iranian revolution and allow the message to transcend through all cultures beyond Iran. More than ever, Iranian women, children, and citizens need their voices heard, and we’re here to help with that.

With utmost urgency to create and distribute this campaign globally, we wrote, filmed, and edited this entire project in slightly over 4 weeks.
